When I started preparing for this project, I knew that I wanted to use water as a main focus. The different sounds made by water intrigue me. It could be something scary such as a dank sewer or something calming like a hot bath. I knew that that in order for this to work, I would have to stray away from the conventions of musical composition and stir up something entirely different. I decided to present a rough narrative to my piece. The so called "plot" of my recording is that of a person listening to an old, un working radio. As if the skipping of the channel wasn't enough to annoy oneself, the faucet starts to drip. The character then attempts to fix it by hitting it with a wrench. As this carries on, the problem becomes worse and the water goes from a drip, to a heavy flow. The character then attempts to weld it and in doing so stops the noise of the water; only to hear drips begin again as the it was at the beginning of the recording.
